If you thought LAST week had a ton of upsets, you (like me) were totally unprepared for week 7. For the first time ever, #1, #2, #5, #6, and #7 all lost in the same week. Two of them (#2 Notre Dame and #5 Indiana) lost to fellow top-10 teams, which is defensible. I’ll even…
We’ve reached our first byes of the season, so no Chiefs or Panthers this week. Even without them, we witnessed plenty of action. A rookie defender became a star, with Jets’ DE (and #2 overall pick) David Bailey earning a trio of sacks against the Browns. Three games went to overtime, with one ending in…
I’ll be keeping track of the various NFL trades that occur throughout 2026 on this page (most recent first). For every trade, I will list the assets each team received, analyze the trade, and provide trade grades for each team. Unless a specific trade is really notable, I’ll only be grading trades involving players, not…
How does an upset happen? Sometimes, an underrated team simply outplays their opponent. Other times, the favored team does something stupid. This week, another team (Michigan State) lost by trying to go for 2 and the “win”. 5-0 Duke showed no urgency at the end of their game against Ga Tech, settling for a tying…
If it seems like more players are getting hurt than ever before, I’m afraid you might be right. I hate to keep starting articles this way, but the hits don’t stop coming. Ravens QB Lamar Jackson left with an ankle injury. Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase suffered a concussion on a dirty hit. Denver lost both…
On this page, I’m going to be providing the free agent signing grades for the notable signings and extensions that occur in 2026 (most recent first) based on how good a deal the signing team obtained and the type of impact I expect the player to have. Please note that an offseason signing cannot be…
Most games this week were either blowouts or nail-biters, without much in between. Only one major upset took place (we’ll cover that), and perhaps we should’ve seen it coming. We’re now in the thick of conference play, so expect familiar foes to beat each other up. One result can change what we think of a…
We were treated to both good and bad surprises this week. Vegas moved to a surprising 3-0 after their thrilling win over NO (thanks to the return of TE Brock Bowers). The Rams and Broncos provided an SNF classic that could double as a Super Bowl preview. However, many teams suffered tough injuries. Miami RB…
As we move forward this season, there will be a lot of focus on the Big Ten and SEC. Thanks to recent conference realignment moves, those two leagues are basically super-conferences at this point. I’ll do my best to squeeze in the ACC, Big XII, and Group of 6 whenever I can, but sometimes you…
Week 2 brought us plenty of good and bad. On the good side, Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba is still a monster regardless of who plays QB. He caught 3 TDs in a one-man show. Cleveland and Green Bay earned their first wins in a very long time, giving those fanbases something to cheer! On the…
